ADAPTIL Calm Collar

The collar should be fitted snugly on your dog’s neck to ensure proper functioning.

• After removing from the packaging, place a finger in the plastic loop situated on the inside of the collar close to the buckle
• Use this loop pull to uncoil the collar
• Feed the end through the buckle
• Place over your dog’s head
• Tighten the collar to fit snugly on your dog’s skin
• You should be able to place no more than 2 fingers between the collar and your dog’s skin
• Ensure the collar is secure
• Cut off any excess portion of the collar
• When ADAPTIL Calm Collar comes in contact with the skin, your dog’s body temperature warms the collar resulting in the diffusion of “appeasing messages” into the local environment
• The collar should remain on your dog at all times (except when using shampoo).

• Ensure your dogs daily collar does not cover the ADAPTIL Calm Collar as it will restrict the release of “appeasing messages”.
• Do not use a bandana on your dog whilst they are wearing an ADAPTIL Calm Collar.
• Do not put the collar in contact with shampoo or chlorinated water (in dog swimming pools). If your dog swims in the sea or a lake occasionally whilst wearing their collar, it’s not a problem.
• Do not fix a lead on the collar, it would not resist the tension and therefore fall off.

• ADAPTIL Calm Collar size S is recommended for dogs up to 15 kg (neck measurement up to 37.5cm).
• ADAPTIL Calm Collar size M/L is recommended for dogs up to 50 kg (neck measurement up to 62.5cm).

One collar lasts 30 days. It is recommended to replace the collar every 4 weeks, to ensure continued reassurance to your dog.

Immediately upon being fitted to your dog. Be sure to adjust the collar properly and check regularly to ensure a proper fit (if the collar is too loose, it will not be warmed enough by your dog’s body heat).

The “appeasing messages” diffusion has been tested on 70 dogs with various hair lengths: short, medium, long.

Hair length has no impact on diffusion as long as the collar is fitted snugly to the dog's skin.

The collar is not made of recyclable plastic material.

Mother dogs communicate with their puppies using natural “appeasing messages” released from their mammary area.  These "appeasing messages“ are scientifically called Dog Appeasing Pheromones. They are odourless and are only perceived by dogs.  They provide a strong signal of comfort and security to dogs of all ages.

Many dog parents start to see results within the first 7 days. However, every dog is unique. Depending on how long the signs have been present and how severe the signs may be, it may take longer to see an improvement.

Most dogs will benefit from continuous use of ADAPTIL Calm Collar to create a reassuring environment at home and when they are out and about. The minimum recommended duration is one month.

It is the ideal solution to help your dog with stress-related issues, such as:

• loud noises, such as fireworks or thunderstorms

• showing signs of fear when on walks
• support during training.

The collar should be fitted snugly around your dog’s neck at all times (except if bathing your dog using shampoo).

Don't remove the collar, except for when bathing your dog and using shampoo.

Leave the collar on 24 hours a day. Clinical trials show that the collar is effective when used continuously (24 hours a day) as this allows your dog to continuously perceive the “appeasing messages” of ADAPTIL.

Once the collar is out of the box and the packet opened it has a 30 day life span. It is beneficial to keep it on your dog at all times and not remove it during these 30 days.
